Can I duplicate a playlist?
Yes! 🎶
If you’d like to create a second version of a playlist — for example, to keep the original intact while making a version with different or fewer songs — you can easily duplicate it without losing your cue points.
🧾 How to Duplicate a Playlist
- Open Hitmix Bingo.
- Click the Hitmix Bingo icon to the left of the playlist menu to open your data folder.
- Open the user folder — you’ll see one XML file for each playlist you’ve created.
- Duplicate the XML file for the playlist you want to copy (as you would any file on Windows or Mac).
- Rename the duplicate to your desired playlist name.
- Close and restart Hitmix Bingo.
You’ll now see both the original and new playlists listed in the menu.
You can edit the new playlist freely without affecting the original.
⚠️ Important Notes
- The new playlist will need its own bingo cards created.
- Once bingo cards have been created for a playlist, do not make further changes to that playlist — otherwise, existing cards will no longer match.
đź’ˇ Tip:
Duplicating playlists is perfect for testing new themes, shortening a game, or creating special editions while keeping your master version safe.
