All the Volumes Are Different Levels

It’s common to notice that songs in Hitmix Bingo play at slightly different volume levels — especially when your tracks come from various sources or formats.

Here’s why that happens and what you can do about it.

❓ Q: Why Has the Normalisation Feature Been Removed in Hitmix Bingo 11.6?

A:

We’ve removed the Normalisation feature in version 11.6 after reports that, in some cases, it could erase users’ audio files.

Additionally, the feature wasn’t consistently effective at balancing volume levels across all tracks.

We know inconsistent audio can be frustrating, but please note:

🎧 Hitmix Bingo plays your music exactly as it’s received.

The volume of each track depends on how it was created or exported by the original software or service.

🎛 How to Balance Volume Levels Externally

If you’d like to ensure more consistent sound across your tracks, you can process your music using external audio software before importing it into Hitmix Bingo.

  • Shutter Encoder

🔁 Q: Is It Coming Back?

A:

Yes!

The Normalisation feature will return in a future version of Hitmix Bingo once it’s been fully tested and proven safe and reliable.

🎚 Q: What Is Normalisation?

A:

Normalisation is the process of adjusting a track’s overall volume to make it more consistent with other audio files.

It helps prevent sudden jumps in loudness — especially when working with songs from different albums or sources.

⚠️ However, it’s not always perfect — some tracks are mastered differently, and even normalisation can’t always make them match exactly.

💡 Tip:

For the best results, keep your music files organised and, where possible, sourced from the same provider or mastering standard. This naturally reduces large variations in volume.
