Can You Use Spotify with Hitmix Bingo?

We occasionally get asked whether Hitmix Bingo works with Spotify — and it’s a great question!

While it might sound convenient to use Spotify playlists during a game, there are some important legal and technical points to understand before doing so.

🎧 Spotify and Commercial Use

Spotify’s Terms and Conditions state that the platform is for personal, non-commercial use only.

This means you’re not permitted to use Spotify to play or broadcast music publicly in:

  • Pubs, clubs, or venues
  • Ticketed or commercial events
  • Quizzes, bingo nights, or other public entertainment

Even if you’re not charging directly for entry, using Spotify in a public or commercial setting would almost certainly breach their licence agreement.

⚠️ What About Spotify Converters?

There are third-party tools — such as ViWizard Spotify Music Converter and similar programs — that claim to let you download or convert Spotify tracks into MP3 files.

However, these tools bypass Spotify’s digital rights management (DRM) and therefore violate Spotify’s terms of service.

Using them can result in:

  • Suspension of your Spotify account
  • Potential copyright infringement issues
  • Legal risk for public or commercial use

✅ What Hitmix Bingo Recommends

Hitmix Bingo does not integrate directly with Spotify, and we strongly discourage using Spotify downloads or conversions in any form for your events.

Instead, we recommend two legal and reliable options:

1. Use Your Own Music Collection

If you already own digital music that you’ve legally purchased, you can use those files directly with Hitmix Bingo.

2. Purchase Official WeMix Playlists

WeMix playlists are specifically curated for Hitmix Bingo.

They come pre-edited, fully licensed for use in public events, and ready to play — so you can stay compliant and confident.
