Renaming a Playlist in Hitmix Bingo
Currently, Hitmix Bingo doesn’t have a built-in option to rename playlists — but you can easily do this through your computer’s file system.
Follow the steps below to rename your playlist safely.
🗂 Step 1: Open the Data Folder
- Open Hitmix Bingo.
- Click the Hitmix Bingo icon (to the left of the playlist selector).
- This will open the Hitmix Bingo data folder on your computer.
🧾 Step 2: Rename the Playlist File
- Double-click the user folder.
Find the playlist you want to rename (it will have the extension
.xml
).Rename it to your desired name.

🃏 Step 3: Rename the Matching Cards File (If Applicable)
If you’ve already printed or created bingo cards for this playlist:
- Double-click the result folder.
- Find the file that matches your playlist name and ends with
_cards.xml
. - Rename it to match your new playlist name — but keep the
_cards.xml
extension.

- In the user folder →
Sounds of the 80s.xml
- In the result folder →
Sounds of the 80s_cards.xml
⚠️ Important Notes
- Make sure both files use exactly the same name (before
_cards.xml
) to stay linked. - Do not change the file extension.
- Always close Hitmix Bingo before renaming files to avoid data conflicts.
💡 Tip:
After renaming, reopen Hitmix Bingo and check that your playlist appears under its new name in the playlist selector.
