Step 1: Create a Playlist in Hitmix Bingo

Creating a great playlist is the foundation of every Hitmix Bingo game.

Here’s how to build, edit, and save your playlist correctly.

🎵 How Many Songs Should I Include?

As a rule of thumb, include about three songs per square.

For example:

  • A 25-square card → around 75 songs

Limit each song to about 30 seconds to create a 30–40 minute game for a full house.

🧩 Creating a New Playlist

  1. Open Hitmix Bingo.
  2. Select Create Playlist.
  3. Click New Playlist.

You’ll now see several options for adding songs:

  • Add from Library – Add songs already in your Hitmix Bingo library.
  • Add from Files – Add music stored on your computer (supports MP3, MP4, and M4A files).
  • Import M3U – Import playlists created in other software.
  • Import Playlist – Import a playlist created in Hitmix Bingo on another computer.
  • Export Playlist – Export your playlist in a Hitmix Bingo–recognised format.

📂 Adding Songs from Your Computer

If you’re unsure where to start, choose Add from Files to load songs directly from your computer.

  1. Select Add from Files.
  2. Locate the MP3, MP4, or M4A files you want to include.
  3. Click Save File when finished.

Your playlist will now be saved and ready to use.

💡 Note:

Hitmix Bingo does not use the file name for song information — it reads ID3 tags within each audio file.

You can edit the Artist and Title by double-clicking a song to open it in the editor.

⚙️ Editing Start and End Points (Optional)

To fine-tune how your songs play:

  1. Double-click the song to open it in the editor.
  2. Press Play to start the track.
  3. Press Set Start Time at the point you want playback to begin.
  4. Press Set End Time at the point you want playback to stop.
  5. Press Update File to save your changes.

💾 Sync to Library (Optional)

You can save your start and end points for future use by pressing Sync to Library.

This will store your custom timings for the next time you use those tracks.

🚫 Troubleshooting MP4 Files

If any of your MP4 files load without audio or video, they likely do not use the MPEG-4 H.264 AAC codec.

Only files encoded with this standard will play correctly in Hitmix Bingo.
