My audio files are all different volumes!
We've introduced a volume normalisation feature in recent versions of Hitmix Bingo. This feature adjusts each audio file to a more consistent volume level using peak normalisation, which raises or lowers the file so its loudest moment hits a standard volume target.
Please note: this process permanently alters your media files, so we strongly recommend making a backup before proceeding.
To use it, open your playlist in the "Create Playlist" screen of Hitmix Bingo, then click the "Vol. Normalise" button. The software will go through each media file and adjust its volume accordingly.
Keep in mind that while this will help make your files more consistent, it won’t make every file exactly the same loudness throughout. Songs naturally vary in volume, and this tool doesn't compress audio – it simply adjusts based on the loudest part of each file.
For more advanced volume control, or if you need uniform loudness levels across your media, you may want to explore dedicated audio normalisation software that offers additional options.
